Val's Story

Meet Val

Lucky Val was found at Palmer Park on Valentine's Day in heartbreaking condition. She likely wouldn't have survived the night if she hadn't been discovered. Thanks to warmth, food, and compassionate care, this one-year-old tuxedo girl has made an incredible recovery.

Now safe and healthy-frost-nipped ear tip, broken tail tip, and all-Val is ready to find her forever home.

Val is a loving girl with a cautious side. Sometimes she leans right into pets and soaks up attention; other times, she'll let you know she needs a little space. It's not aggression-just a young cat still learning to trust after a very rough start.

She currently lives with a Labrador and four adult cats. Val would do best as the "Queen Bee" of her home, as she tends to prefer male cats over females. And while it was a man who saved her life and a male vet who treated her injuries, Val has decided she prefers the gentle touch of women.

Val loves being near her person-she'll follow you from room to room, curl up on your lap or chest, and keep you company while you relax. When she feels safe, her playful and affectionate side really begins to shine.

We may never know everything Val has been through, but we do know this: she deserves a calm, patient home where she can continue to learn, grow, and be loved.

Could you be her person?

Apply to meet Val:
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HPH/Cat

Adoption fee: $150
(This helps cover the cost of her care.)
