Val's Story

Val is a darling little orange/brown tabby boy with beautiful green eyes. When he first arrived at Purrs, he was mellow as can be and outgoing just like any other kitten.

And then he was diagnosed with FIP, and his world flipped upside down. Months of poking, prodding, pills, bloodwork, and feeling bad have made Val hesitant of people. He is now a shy boy who could really use a patient, loving person to help him come back out of shell.

Surviving FIP was tough work, but he did it. THRIVING in the life he worked so hard to keep might be even harder, but we know he can do it with the right family.

Val ADORES the den mama of the kitten room who comforted him through his health journey, never leaving his side. Big Deborah didn’t care that he wasn’t her kitten originally, she just saw a baby that needed her. And she doesn’t care now that he’s even bigger than her, she still lets him tuck his face away in her arms for a snuggle. They do not have to go home together, as they are not bonded, but would do amazingly well as a pair for anyone interested in adding two to their family.

Val is vetted. DOB 8/21/25
