Ursula Melvin's Story

Personality type:
Part-time lover - Wants to be in the same room but also likes their space.

Ursula is the quintessential golden girl—sweet, dignified, and not lacking in opinions. Despite being a senior, she switches effortlessly between serene lounging and bursts of silly energy. One minute she’s reclining in a sunny windowsill, and the next she’s zooming off to find the perfect scratching post with dramatic flair. All of the above is accompanied by her perma-blep, which she's never far from showing to you.

Though she’s not one to sprawl across your lap, Ursula adamantly adores pets. She’ll enthusiastically headbutt your hands, demanding pets and chin rubs. Once she has had enough, she will dash off or perhaps express herself with a few soft baps.

Occasionally she will feel the need to let you know she's captured a toy (this is important news) with a bit of chatty meowling. Ursula can be silly with other cats but prefers companions who are mostly laid back like she is. She doesn't hesitate to ask other cats to give her some space, but she has been known to snuggle with other kitties "by accident" when sharing a warm spot in the sun.

Ursula is equal parts sugar and sass. If you’ve got a well-lit windowsill, a scratching post, a few treats and maybe a bit of catnip, this senior lady will happily settle in with you.

Ursula Melvin is around 10 years old and is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained. She is affectionate, friendly, and dignified.

Adoption fee: $75 (plus tax)

To adopt, please fill out an application at www.projectmeow.org/adopt/adoption-application/

For additional information, contact us at adoptions@projectmeow.org

Project MEOW is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue organization and is dedicated to saving the lives of West Philadelphia's homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals.

Thank you for looking to rescue a furbaby!
