Uno's Story
We advise all adopters to expect the 3-3-3 rule as a general guideline for introducing a pet to the home: 3 days to decompress (will show nervousness, hiding, reduced appetite), 3 weeks to settle into a routine (beginning to explore and showing personality), and 3 months to build trust and feel fully comfortable in their new home. This period may be longer for shy or extremely scared animals.

Uno originally came to the shelter in very rough condition in August of 2025. She had to have one eye removed and went through a long medical foster to get her poor digestive tract under control. However, now Uno is feeling good and is ready for an adoptive home. She needs a stable diet and probiotic supplements with her food. Uno is a friendly, quiet girl who would do best in a calmer and quieter environment.
