TWINKIE's Story

MEET TWINKIE! *Looking for a cat friend at home* This orange and white boy is Twinkie. He had been living outside and was brought in by our Rescue Team as part of our Trap/Neuter/Return program; we call these Community Cats. When he showed signs of being social, we kept him at the shelter and made him adoptable. The key to making cats like Twinkie comfortable in your home is patience - don't expect him to jump in your lap right away. Rescue folks sometimes quote the Rule of 3: it can take these cats 3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to start settling in, and 3 months to feel at home and show their personality. We'll be happy to give you plenty of information and support as you take this journey with Twinkie. Your reward for your patience will be a new best friend! Twinkie is currently up to date on all vaccines, spay/neutered, microchipped and has been seen by our veterinarian. For more information on this or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
