Tundra's Story

Meet Tundra, a 1.5-year-old soul who has survived the unthinkable and is now searching for a home to call his own.

This past November, while a winter storm raged, Tundra was left behind in the cold at the Wendy’s fast-food parking lot—discarded and forced to fend for himself against the freezing cold and snow. For weeks, he was just a ghost in the shadows, waiting for someone who wasn't coming back. A kind man who worked at Wendy’s restaurant reached out for help! It took me a while to trap him but I was successful! He was scared and skeptical of who this person was that had just saved him. It felt really good to be in a warm place, on a fluffy blanket with a full belly of food.

Despite the betrayal he endured, Tundra’s spirit remains remarkably soft. He is truly the best kitty I have ever fostered; he didn't respond to his trauma with fear, but with a deep, aching desire for connection.

This handsome tabby who lives for human companionship. If you are sitting down, he wants to be near you; if you have a spare hand, he’s ready for his head and butt scratches. He also LOVES to be brushed! Sometimes he does get overly stimulated with all the love and wants to play hard. By saying “NO” with a firm voice, he understands and then just sits there looking at your with those precious eyes.

Tundra’s Favorites:

Head Scratches: He will lean into your palm as if to say “Thank you for choosing me.”
Getting brushed
Churu Treats: The quickest way to this survivor’s heart is a lickable treat!

Because of everything Tundra has endured, foster mom Diane wants to make sure he is going to the perfect home - We are committed to making sure his next home is the absolute best fit as Tundra deserves a lifetime guarantee that he will never be tossed outside again.

**We are not sure how he interacts with young children or other animals**

It would be best if he is only animal in the house so he gets ALL the love and attention he deserves
