Tuna's Story

Hello! My name is Tuna and I’m a 3-year old boy with gorgeous jade-green eyes. I’m a sensitive guy who loves to sit by your legs and even wrap my paw around you. I love affection and being brushed. And unlike most cats, I love to have my belly rubbed. If you like to read or binge movies, I’m happy to sit against you for long periods of time. I have a sweet, gentle, loving disposition, and I love to roll around and show you how handsome I am. And if you have a window for me to sit by I love listening to the birds and getting some fresh air. I like to do little chirps and beeps when you pet me, and some meows to greet you when you first enter a room to announce myself!

As far as toys I’m starting to come out of my shell. I like wand toys and springs and balls. So far I entertain myself or will interact for small stints. Sometimes I even get little zoomies! As I get more accustomed to playtime, I may play even more!

One thing my adopter needs to know is I’m a little sensitive to changes in my environment, and I get stressed when I move to a new location. I need a super patient and understanding adopter that can keep an eye on my eating and drinking closely for the first few days. Starting me in my own room will help me get comfy. You see, when I moved into my foster home, I didn’t hide and was ready for snuggles pretty quickly, but it took me a couple days to get comfy enough to really eat and drink. Pittsburgh CAT will help you through what I need to be successful, but you might need to keep in contact with them closely until I get used to my new routine.

I’d be fine in a small home or apartment. I’d also be OK living by myself or with other friendly felines that are slow eaters. (I really graze my food so if I’m with a fast eater I might not get to eat at all.) I think a dog could be too much for me.
I’m looking for a home without small children as it takes me a bit to adjust and it might be too much for me at first. I am very social though, once I’m comfortable with my new surroundings, and I tend to do well meeting new people!

I am neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and up-to-date on all of my vaccinations. I have excellent litter habits and I’m a nice clean boy. If you have the patience to let me get comfortable, I promise it will be worth the wait as I’m a very special, loving cat!

If you're interested in adopting, the first step is to fill out the application here:
http://bit.ly/3VDJfhm
