Tucker and Thumbs's Story

Hi, our names are Tucker and Thumbs! We are PURPLE pawprints, which means we will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for us in our new home:

-Personality: Tucker is vocal, energetic, and spunky! Thumbs is spunky, shy at first, and affectionate
-Can Live with Cats: Likely ok with proper introduction. They are a bonded pair and are required to go home together.
-Can Live with Dogs: Unknown history - slow and supervised introductions always.
-Can Live with Kids: Likely okay with respectful kiddos!
-Needs Indoor Only Home: Yes please
-History of Litter Box Issues: Nope
-Energy Level: High
-Bite History: No
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Nope, ready to go!

Meet Tucker and Thumbs - these two spunky little ones are looking for their forever home together. They were found as strays and taken care of for a bit before coming to us - thankfully spayed and neutered! Thumbs can be a little shy at first but once she has gotten some reassurance pets she cozies up pretty quickly! She is not quite as active as her brother, Tucker, but definitely still has some spunk. She can get a little growly with rough pets so someone who can see and respect her boundaries would be best - she seems to enjoy growly pets but best to know when to stop before she becomes TOO spunky. While growls aren't always taken the best, she doesn't mean harm, she's just an opinionated gal who still LOVES pets and attention.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
