Trubbz (161370) (In a foster home)'s Story

Trubbz is an outgoing, affectionate young cat with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s bold, sassy, and not shy about making new friends—whether that’s new people or exploring a new space. She approaches everyone with friendly confidence and quickly makes herself at home.

Her current owner made the difficult decision to surrender her because she isn’t the right fit for their household. They have a 13-year-old cat who struggles with anxiety that causes weight loss and stress grooming. Although Trubbz has been respectful and friendly—often trying to initiate play and then backing off when the older cat sets boundaries—it’s clear the senior kitty is overwhelmed. Rather than continue to stress their elderly cat, they want Trubbz to have the chance to thrive in a home where her playful, loving nature can truly shine.

Trubbz loves to play, especially with toys that crinkle, jingle, or crackle. Paper bags? Amazing. Small toys she can bat around and proudly carry in her mouth? Even better. She’ll chase, pounce, and even fetch little items like caps or toys. Laser pointers are a favorite, and watching her zoom and leap is pure entertainment. She’s playful but not hyperactive—after some fun, she’s happiest being scooped up for cuddles or curling up close to her people.

She uses an uncovered litterbox like a pro and has been kept indoors since she was found outside. She hasn’t been around dogs, and while she’s currently living with an older cat, she may do best as an only pet or with a confident, playful feline companion closer to her age. She can be startled by loud noises, so a calmer home would help her feel secure.

Trubbz is still working on typical kitten manners (like remembering that toes and fingers aren’t toys!), but she’s just your average young cat—curious, silly, and full of life. She’s been described as a “goofy noodle,” and it fits perfectly.

If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate, playful companion who will make you laugh and happily soak up all your love, Trubbz is ready to find her forever home and live her very best life.

Trubbz is currently in foster care outside of the shelter.
