Tripp & Elain (FeLV+)'s Story
Tripp is a young tabby with a gentle nature and striking marble tabby markings that make him a real standout. He was rescued during a Trap-Neuter-Return project by the organization SCRATCH. Tripp tested positive for FeLv (feline leukemia) which meant he has been separate from other cats until recently.
Elain was the last one in her litter so were were happy to pair these 2 together since she had never been alone before. Tripp had never had a friend, so was smitten from Day 1 when Elain showed up. Now we feel they must stay together as a bonded pair as they truly love each other's company. They often play and wrestle together and have become best friends.

One of Tripp's favorite things is curling up in his foster mom’s lap, purring softly while making biscuits. He’s playful too—especially when treats like Churu are involved. Now that he has a friend, he is even more frisky!

Check out Elain's Petfinder page here: https://www.petfinder.com/cat/elain-fe-lv-6668395b-ebd2-4b48-9db9-b5ae06de978b/tn/chattanooga/pet-placement-center-tn43/details/

Elain and Tripp are currently in a foster home. Please contact us if you would like to meet them.

Elain and Tripp have tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLv). This means they are carriers of the feline leukemia virus but can still live long healthy lives. Life expectancy can be shorter than normal for some FeLv+ cats but it is truly variable with each individual cat because some are more affected by the virus than others. Either way, all of these precious cats deserve to have a happy life for as long as they can and we are committed to finding them the right home(s).

Guidelines for adopting an FeLv+ cat:

1) Must be the only cat in the home or go to a home with other FeLv+ cats (or ones that are vaccinated against FeLv).

2) Must be INDOOR ONLY

For more information about Feline Leukemia go to: https://www.aspcapro.org/resource/feline-leukemia-virus-felv

Also, watch this <3 minute video where a vet explains FeLv: https://spcawake.org/felv-cats/

We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m but are doing meet & greets and adoptions by appointment only.

The adoption fee is $50 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, test for FELV/FIV, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter.

If you are interested in this pet, please fill out our ADOPTION APPLICATION at https://bit.ly/3HN4Tqq

Visit our website at www.PetPlacementCenter.com
