Tova's Story

Do you like to take mid afternoon Siestas? Tova is the perfect little spoon to your big spoon. This sweet little girl will snuggle up next to you for your whole nap.

Tova was found continually falling over while trying to run away from her rescuers. After seeing a neurologist, the most likely cause of Tova's neurological symptoms is congenital - she has been tested for a variety of disorders (including toxoplasmosis) and came out clean. But don't tell her that she is different from any other cat! Just like any other cat her age she loves to run around and wrestle her foster friends. She also loves climbing cat trees, her scratching posts, chase toys, and snoozing in donut style cat beds. As the neurologist had predicted, Tova's neurological symptoms have decreased as she has gotten older. Since her neurological symptoms are more prevalent when she is stressed, we feel a calmer and quieter home would be more ideal.

The only thing Tova likes more than napping with her person is food. We are still working on not stealing her (human) foster's food. This determined food thief would not be a good fit for home with young children; however, older, cat-savvy kids would probably be okay. Tova loves the other cats in the house who are a range of personalities, ages, and activity levels and will need to go to a home with another feline friend. She doesn't mind her foster parent's dogs and would do well with respectful canines.

Tova is approximately eight months old. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. If you are looking for your purrfect nap buddy and friend for your cat, don't wait and apply for Tova today!

Trash Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
Typically the potential adopter reaches out either with or without a specific cat in mind. We will usually ask questions about the type of cat the adopter is interested in (any preferences as far as gender, color, personality, etc.), as well as the sort of home the cat would be going to (any kids, other pets, etc.). If we have a cat or kitten who would be a good fit, the adopter can fill out our application for that animal. If not, the person can still fill out the app, and we will keep them if mind if we end up with a cat who we think would be a good fit. Once the app is reviewed/approved (including checking vet and landlord references), we would chat any further with the adopter if needed, and then schedule a meet and greet with them with the cat or kitten. If the animal and the adopter hit it off, the adopter would then fill out our adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, and take the cat or kitten home!
