Tortie's Story

Meet Tortie, a breathtakingly beautiful 2-year-old who possesses a special kind of magic.

While she is still learning to trust humans, she has an incredible, magnetic soul that other cats simply adore. There is something truly calming about Tortie; whenever she settles down to rest, other cats in the vicinity instinctively gravitate toward her. They find her, curl up right against her, and stay as close as possible, drawn to her gentle and serene energy.

Tortie is looking for a very special home—a place with an experienced, patient adopter and, most importantly, a sweet, confident feline friend who can show her the ropes. She needs a mentor who can teach her that humans are kind and that their love is safe. In return, she promises to be the best friend your cat has ever had—the constant, comforting companion they have been looking for.

If you have a home filled with love and a feline friend who is missing a "bestie," Tortie is waiting to bring her unique, calming presence into your life. Together, you and your cat can help her bloom into the confident girl we know she’s meant to be.

Interested in adopting Tortie? Our policy is to adopt kittens in pairs. We find that kittens are much happier when they have a companion and they tend to expend their youthful energy on each other rather than on your couch! Kittens are adorable, but older cats can be wonderful pets as well and they tend to be overlooked, so please consider adopting an adult cat or two!

The Cat Connection is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3)organization of volunteers who rescue homeless cats.
