Tootsie's Story
Tootsie is an adorably petite little girl with the cutest tiny face and an even sweeter personality. She may be small, but she has lots of love to give once she feels safe. Tootsie would do well in a quiet household with no young children.

Tootsie is looking for a patient and dedicated adopter who is willing to let her settle in at her own pace and help her build confidence. She can be adopted as an only cat in a calm home or with a friendly resident cat who can help her continue to build confidence and be her companion.

When you first meet Tootsie, she'll likely be very shy and may need several weeks to come out of her shell. When she's scared, her instinct is to hide rather than be aggressive. She may occasionally give a little hiss to let you know she's nervous.

The quickest way to Tootsie's heart is through food! She's incredibly treat and food motivated, making snacks the perfect bonding tool. Although she generally prefers to keep her distance, she is cuddliest in the mornings right before breakfast. She knows exactly when it's meal time and will wake you up right before your alarm for snuggles and attention. During this time, she turns into the biggest cuddle bug ever! She will curl up on your lap or chest, purring up a storm, and happily soaking up loads of kisses and pets (especially chin and bum scratches).

Tootsie is a very easy-going and well-behaved cat. She uses her litter box perfectly, doesn't chew on wires, and is generally a low-energy, chill companion. Most days, you'll find her sitting by the window watching the world go by or quietly following you around the house.

When she gets the zoomies, she loves to entertain herself with all sorts of springy or bouncy toys. Her funniest quirk is her fascination with shadows. She can spend hours watching them move and trying to catch them!

Like all ACR cats, Tootsie is up-to-date on vaccines and has been treated for fleas and parasites
