TOM's Story

If you're looking for a cat who is equal parts charming, friendly, and independent, Tom is the cat for you! At three years old, Tom is past his years of kittenhood and has grown into a gentleman with household manors. He is currently staying in a short-term foster home where he is putting those gentlemanly skills to use. Whether he is cuddling with his favorite humans or meeting new furry friends (real or otherwise), Tom is always ready to show off just how much love he has to give to his future family! Tom has feline herpesvirus, and while it may sound scary, it is completely manageable. He may have flare-ups of kitty cold symptoms from time to time, but with supportive vet care, he will continue to live a completely normal and happy life! Feline herpesvirus is only contagious to other cats, so while humans and doggy friends are immune, Tom would do best in a home either as a solo cat or with other herpesvirus positive kitties. What Tom really needs is the right person to take a chance on all the love her has to offer. Think you could be that person? Give us a call at 281-342-1512 and we will help you get in touch with his foster for a meet and greet, or email AnimalServices_Fostering@fortbendcountytx.gov to learn more!
