Tom has feline herpesvirus, and while it may sound scary, it is completely manageable. He may have flare-ups of kitty cold symptoms from time to time, but with supportive vet care, he will continue to live a completely normal and happy life! Feline herpesvirus is only contagious to other cats, so while humans and doggy friends are immune, Tom would do best in a home either as a solo cat or with other herpesvirus positive kitties.
