Tom's Story

Handsome Tom came from a house with over 100 cats. When he first arrived, he was very scared and untrusting. He then went home with one of our experienced cat fosters for him to learn that people are ok! Through her training and patience, he came to realize that he is safe and doesn't need to be so scared. He recently returned to the rescue and went into our colony room. While still a little unsure, he does allow pets and has been out and about in the room. Tom is a big fan of licky treats and will lick them off of your finger. To find the best fit for him, he will need an experienced cat owner who will give him the time and space required for him to learn to trust in his new home. He is a sweet guy who is worth the effort.

If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared -- bring a photo ID, proof of current address and a cat carrier.
