Tofu's Story
Tofu is about 2-3 years old, and after spending her life surviving on the streets and raising babies, it’s finally her turn to be cared for.
She was originally found during a TNR project where her two 8 week old kittens entered rescue. Tofu herself wasn’t taken in with her kitten despite being incredibly friendly, so we decided to scoop her up. Because of her loving personality, we knew she deserved a chance at indoor life and a forever home.
Tofu absolutely loves people. She enjoys pets, good meals, and curling up somewhere cozy for a nap. After years of surviving outdoors, she’s discovering how nice it is to simply relax and be loved.
While outside, Tofu was known as somewhat of the “boss” of the colony. She tolerates other cats but likes firm boundaries and isn’t afraid to stand her ground. She would stand down male cats twice her size at feeding time to make sure her kittens got to eat from the kibble tray first and stayed full and happy before anyone else moved in. She would probably do best with calmer cats who respect her space but we havent gotten to know who she is inside for long enough to say how she will act when the stakes aren't the life or death of her kittens. She hasn’t had much exposure to dogs while in rescue, but with slow introductions and time to adjust, we think she could learn to feel coexsist around them too.
You may notice Tofu has a tipped ear. This notch on her ear is a universal sign that a cat has been through a TNR (trap-neuter-return) program. Her ear tip tells part of her story, a life spent outdoors surviving and raising litter after litter before finally getting the chance to be safe indoors. We think it makes her even more special.
Tofu is fully vetted, including FVRCP and rabies vaccines, microchip, deworming, and testing negative for FIV/FeLV.
This girl has spent enough time taking care of everyone else. Now she’s ready for someone to take care of her. If you're ready to welcome a sweet girl in to the comfort of your home, apply to adopt her at the link below.

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdy9NUdRzsagXgNJ7xhCHp5LZnTUYFxN-2jh4HgXKTou9k-tA/viewform
