Toast's Story

For being such a dark color, Toast is pure sunshine!

This one-year old girl absolutely LOVES pets! So much so, she will stand on her back legs to get even more contact from a pet. Truly she just can’t get enough contact with her humans. She is very comfortable being held and sitting in a lap.

She is an also chatterbox. She will greet her foster family with little meows in the morning, which is honestly the best way to start the day. After some breakfast and attention, she is ready to start her day!

She is a playful gal as well! She loves to bat a spring across the room or dive through a tunnel. Some cats get a little intense in their playtime but this girl has just the right amount of playful energy.

Toast has been diagnosed with FIV, which is essentially just causing her to have a bit of a weaker immune system than a cat without it. So her new family will just need to feed her some lysine immune support supplements in order to keep her as healthy as possible (it’s a powder you sprinkle on food!)
FIV is only transmissible to other cats via deep bite wounds!

The foster home she is in right now has cats that are very unhappy with her presence, so we’re unsure if she will be ok with other cats. But with proper introductions, she very well may do well! However, we do know she is very interested in having human companionship so having Toast as a solo kitty is definitely ok!

Toast has been good with the kids in her foster home, so cat-savvy kids would be a-ok for her! She hasn’t met a dog yet, but with proper introductions, she may become friends with one!

If you’re ready to welcome this sweet girl in to your home, please fill out an application today! You won’t regret it!

Toast is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and is *FIV POSITIVE*, FeLV negative.

*To apply for Toast, please visit our website to view our adoption guidelines and fill out our application at catcallsrescue.org/adopt *
