Tito's Story

Tito is the most polite gentlemen you’ll ever meet. Very charming and charismatic (yes, he’s a talker)! A guys-guy and a lady’s-man all in one. Seriously, he is amazing! While Tito does love to socialize, he prefers to avoid large dogs - however, one of his good friends is a small dog! Good with other calm cats with a gradual introduction and also good with tiny humans; but I would suggest old enough to know not pull his tail, etc. To elaborate: he is very gentle but can be sensitive about his tail and startles easily; while he is not reactive, he might be afraid of a very sudden approach by younger children. If you are interested in Tito, it is important to know that he is FIV+. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation. All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. Thank you! ____________________ Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets. If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments. Del Gato Rescue's Adoption Policy

Step 1: Potential adopters must fill out an Adoption Application. We will reach out at our earliest convenience (typically 1-3 days). Step 2: If your application is approved, we will then conduct a virtual homecheck. Step 3: If your homecheck is approved, we will move forward with a meet-and-greet. Step 4: If that goes well, and both parties are interested in moving forward, we will coordinate adoption logistics.
