Tipsy's Story
No, your eyes aren't deceiving you - this is one topsy-turvy cat!
Meet Tipsy, a 1 year old male Domestic Shorthair cat. Life may have skewed the scales a bit for this sweet boy, but he refuses to let it slow him down.
Tipsy was initially a stray living on the streets,. but he decided that life no longer suited him. He followed some FHSU students home and started demanding they care for him, but they could not keep him for long. He soon came to us to find a permanent loving home!
When you meet Tipsy, it's not hard to see where he got his name from. He has a permanent head tilt that he came to the shelter with. It was determined that this was the result of an ear infection that went untreated for too long. Antibiotics have cleared up the infection, but that head tilt seems like it's here to stay! It doesn't affect his mobility nearly as much as you think, and he still gets around great on his own. Because of his history, Tipsy will need a family that is committed top routine ear checkups and monitoring for future ear infections. He also should not be allowed to roam outside. With a little extra care, this sweet boy is ready to thrive!
Tipsy's favorite thing is people, and he absolutely adores attention! He has a fun, loving personality that will be a great addition to your home. Tipsy does great with kids, and has also done well with a few cats that he's been introduced to here. We have not yet seen him with dogs. We recommend a meet and greet with the whole family to make sure it's a good match.
Sometimes the most special cats come with a unique story, and Tipsy is no exception! His head tilt brings extra charm and a reminder of just how resilient he is. Tipsy is litter box trained and has received his first round of vaccinations. So what are you waiting for? Come out and meet Tipsy today!
