Tipsy’s FAQs

What is Aide For Paws Rescue Society’s adoption process?

Adoption applications can be found on our website at www.aide4paws.com Please note that we do not process adoption applications on a 1st-come-1st-served basis. Our adoptions team reviews all applications and will be in touch with applicants we feel would best suit each individual animal's needs. Our rescue completes personal reference checks, reference checks from your veterinarian, as well as reference/strata checks for any applicant who rents and/or lives within a Strata property to ensure a new pet will be welcome & there are no restrictions (size, breed & # of pets allowed). Once reference checks have been completed our adoptions team will perform a home check followed by meet and greets with pre-approved potential adoptive families. Ultimately we allow our animals to choose their forever home. This is determined by the interactions with each family. All of our dogs are then placed on a 2 week foster to adopt trial before making the final decision to adopt. We want to make sure that all of our animals are the best possible match for each individual family, their home, as well as their lifestyle. Please note this adoption process might take several weeks to complete depending on how many applications are received per pet as well as the time needed to contact each of your references.
