Tippie **KITTEN**'s Story

WE ARE NOT A SHELTER. WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE: To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in.

Apply to adopt with our online cat application: https://fs17.formsite.com/waverlypetrescue/form4/index.html

Please go to our web-site to learn more about Waverly Pet Rescue: www.waverlypetrescue.com

Tippie was a stray found on an acreage just on the outskirts of Waverly. A couple heard her crying one early morning back in August 2025. They got dressed and with a flashlight found her. She was scared and ran from them. But with a little food, the coaxed her into a safe place. They looked and looked for a mother or other siblings but not were ever found. Waverly Pet rescue took her in that week because this kind couple could not keep her. Tippie went to a vet and then to a foster home. She is now current on all vaccines, dewormed, and spayed. Poor thing also had a hemorrhoid so during her spay surgery the vet removed it. Stitches are out now, and she is doing well after several more visits to the vet. She needs at least one small can of wet feed each day to make sure she has softer stools and not get another hemorrhoid.

Tippie was born probably in June 2025 so is about 5-months-old now is November 2025. She is all black with white on the tip of her tail, and some white on her chest and lower belly. She started off scared of everything but has done really well in the 3-months she has been in her foster home. She really loves being around people now and will follow them around and wants to be near them. Tippie is a typical mischievous and playful little girl full of energy and fun She takes her role of annoying little sister very seriously with the other cats she lives with. She bullies the big cats and does not wait her turn when it comes to treats and toys, lol. So she will need younger cats in her forever home that want to join in the fun and not older cats that prefer a nap. She is a superstar and demands all the attention in the room. She is a tiny girl with a big appetite. She never says no to a meal and will try to get extras in wherever she can, even if it's a piece of lettuce! So best to not ever leave food out on the counter if you decide to adopt Tippie. She still isn't fond of dogs, but she is used to them. She just minds her own business and reminds the dogs to do the same when she feels she needs to. All of the cats here adore her and spoil her rotten. She isn't too affectionate. She doesn't like to be held, and she acts like kisses are offensive, but she loves to be petted and also playing with you. She will sleep on your back or pillow. If you move around in your sleep a lot, expect to be woken to being eaten alive since believes wiggly toes are food, lol.

Tippie does well with other cats and it is required she goes to a home with a younger cat so she can have a friend. She does well with older children, little ones will be too much for her. She is not a fan of dogs but can live with cat friendly dogs. Please apply to adopt Tippie today!

12/6/25 UPDATE: Tippie is a bundle of energy, fun, joy, and mischief! She also likes to be in charge of all the cats in the foster home. She is small but mighty, lol.

Tippie's adoption fee is $95.00.

WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter.
