Pen Pals Animal Shelter is a nonprofit adoption center on the grounds of Dixon Correctional Institute, 5568 La. 68, Jackson.
The shelter is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays and has a large selection of cats and dogs ready for adoption. All animals have been spayed, neutered, and vaccinated.
