Meet Tim Curry: The Cat Who Refused to Give Up

Named after the dearly departed legend himself, **Tim Curry** is a roughly one-year-old orange guy who has already used up several of his nine lives—and he is not about to waste the ones he has left.

Tim came to us quite literally as his **last option**.

Someone had been eating at a local restaurant when they left and noticed something heartbreaking behind the building: a cat hanging from a chain-link fence by his back leg. Tim had apparently been trying to climb over the fence when he became tangled. Tim came to us quite literally as his **last option**.

Someone had been eating at a local restaurant when they left and noticed something heartbreaking behind the building: a cat hanging from a chain-link fence by his back leg. Tim had apparently been trying to climb over the fence when he became tangled. No one knows how long he had been hanging there, but it was long enough for the circulation to be cut off and the leg to die.

Thankfully, someone found him.

Unfortunately, the nearest veterinary clinic turned him away. They called shelters, but no one was answering. They didn't know where else to go, so they got in their car and drove to us.

We had already closed for the day.

But they knocked.

And we answered.

We don't typically take animals in this way, but there was absolutely no way we were going to turn away a cat in desperate need simply because the timing wasn't convenient.

We tried everything we could to save Tim's leg. Sadly, a few days later, we had to make the difficult decision to amputate.

And Tim?
