Tigy's Story

Tigy: Retired Mom, Full-Time Wallflower

Tigy has already done the hard part. This beautiful tortie was found outside raising her babies, and while she took motherhood seriously, her kittens have all moved on to start their own adventures. Now it's finally Tigy's turn.

Life indoors is still a pretty new concept for Tigy. After spending so much time fending for herself outdoors, she's learning that people can be kind, meals arrive on schedule, and cozy beds are much better than sleeping under the stars. She's making progress every day, but she's still a very shy girl who needs time to feel safe.

Tigy isn't the cat who's going to march into your home and immediately claim your lap. She's more likely to watch you from a comfortable distance while she decides whether you're trustworthy. The good news? Once Tigy realizes she's safe, you can almost see the weight lifting from her shoulders.

Her ideal adopter understands that trust is something earned, not demanded. She'll need patience, gentle encouragement, and a quiet place where she can settle in at her own pace. The reward will be watching a cat who has spent much of her life surviving finally learn how to simply live.

If you believe the best relationships are worth waiting for, Tigy may be the perfect companion for you.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.savehomelessanimals.org.
