He came to us when his previous owner was no longer able to keep him, and he's been patiently waiting since June 2nd, 2026 for his fresh start. Tigger is a sweet boy who is beginning a new chapter after living as an outdoor cat his whole life. He may need patience and understanding as he adjusts to indoor living and learns the comforts of a home environment. Tigger may prefer a home with older children, if there are any, who can respect his space as he settles in. He may also do well with another cat in the home. Tigger is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Capital Area Humane Society's Adoption Policy

The purpose of our adoption criteria is to ensure a consistent, fair process and to provide every potential adopter with an equal opportunity to welcome a new pet into their home. All animals are adopted to individuals who agree to follow the guidelines outlined in the adoption contract. Adopters must be at least 18 years of age and are required to complete an adoption questionnaire, as well as provide valid identification and proof of current residence. Pets are placed in homes where they will be cared for primarily as indoor companions, and adopters must commit to providing lifelong care, including proper food, water, shelter, and regular exercise. Animals may be adopted as gifts in accordance with our gift adoption policy. Additionally, to ensure the safety and well-being of our animals, we do not proceed with adoptions to individuals who appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
