TICO's Story

Meet Tico! A few years ago, Tico had an unfortunate fall from a balcony which resulted in both of her front legs being fractured. After undergoing immediate surgery and a slow, steady recovery, we are thrilled to report that Tico is fully healed, healthy, and doing fantastic! She was actually adopted out a while ago, but she was recently returned to our care through absolutely no fault of her own, so she is back on the market for her true forever home. Because of her past injuries, she still likes to lounge up high on furniture when you aren't looking, so her new family will just need to make sure she doesn't have access to extreme heights where jumping down could put too much hard impact on her front legs.

Tico has a big personality and would MUCH prefer being the only cat in the house. She can be a little swatty and on edge at times if other cats come too close to her personal space, though she has shown she can coexist okay with a smaller, calm dog. Ultimately, Tico would be so much more relaxed and chill being your one and only queen!

Tico is a wonderful companion who likes to follow her humans around the house and truly enjoys being petted. She can be very cuddly at times, but she is also perfectly happy hanging around on her own and doing her own thing. She absolutely loves her treats, and when you toss them, she will happily run and pounce on them!

We are all so fond of Tico's company and want nothing more than to see her find the permanent, loving home she deserves. If you are interested in adopting this resilient, sweet girl, please contact our East shelter at 416-338-PAWS (7297) to start the application process!
