Tia - Pending Adoption's Story
Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!

**Adoption Interest Form REQUIRED via our website Rarerescue.org**

Meet Tia!

If you've ever dreamed of a cat who loves people as much as dogs do, meet Tia.

Tia is the mama of the Bad Bunny litter, and according to her foster, she is quite possibly the sweetest cat they have ever met. Not one of the sweetest. The sweetest.

Tia's story began as a stray cat wandering onto a property in search of food. A kind family began feeding her, and before long, Tia disappeared into the woods to have her kittens. For weeks, she protected and cared for her five babies on her own, keeping them safe until they were old enough to venture out. Then, trusting the people who had been helping her, she brought her kittens to the house and tucked them into the wheel well of a car, believing she had found them a safe place to stay.

Thankfully, their cries were heard before anyone drove away. The family quickly brought Tia and her babies inside and contacted RARE.

Tia spent weeks doing everything she could to keep her kittens healthy, fed, and safe. Now, for the first time in her young life, it's her turn to be cared for.

At just around a year old, Tia is still very much a young cat herself. She's petite, weighing just under 7 pounds, though she'd love to add a little extra weight now that she's finished raising her babies.

And what a wonderful cat she is.

Tia wants to be wherever you are. If you're sitting on the couch, she's there. If you're working on the computer, she's there. If you're making dinner, she's probably supervising. She absolutely adores attention and affection. In fact, if you stop petting her before she's ready, she'll gently reach out with her paw, grab your hand, and pull it back toward her as if to say, "Excuse me, I wasn't finished."

She is incredibly loving, endlessly affectionate, and genuinely enjoys being with her people. Tia isn't just friendlyshe seeks out connection and makes everyone she meets feel special.

As beautiful as she is sweet, Tia has stunning tabby marbling that gives her the look of a miniature wildcat. Her markings are absolutely breathtaking, but it's her heart that steals the show.

Tia has spent her life taking care of everyone else. Now she's ready for someone to take care of her.

Fill out an adoption application at rarerescue.org today!

**Tia is NOT spayed currently, but she will be before adoption. She has been feeding her kittens, and it would have been unsafe to do so.

ADOPTION FEES: Our Adoption Fees vary based on adoptability to help all of the animals in our organization. Please make sure to read the adoption fee below in the bio.

STEPS TO ADOPT:

Read the adoptables bio below, including their adoption fee

Go to RARErescue.org and Read our ADOPTION PROCESS page under the "Adopt" section

Complete the CAT ADOPTION INTEREST FORM (located on our website RARErescue.org)

We understand that it is important to you to find the right fit for your family. We feel the same way! The CAT ADOPTION INTEREST FORM is important and REQUIRED for this reason.

All of our Adoptables are:

*Spayed/neutered; Up to date on vaccines (age appropriate); On flea prevention; De-wormed; FELV/FIV tested; Microchipped prior to adoption

Visit our website/Click on Adopt to "APPLY" today! RARErescue.org

BREEDS: We are not breed experts. The breed(s) listed for each adoptable are best guesses or suggestions.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.

Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care. As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.

***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.

Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!
