Thomas's Story

Thomas has the heart of a survivor and the spirit of a best friend just waiting to be found.

Born around October 2023, Thomas came to us as a stray, his past a mystery and his trust in the world something he had to rebuild. But he’s shown us, day after day, just how resilient and full of love he truly is.

Thomas, who is affectionately known by his favorite humans as "Cow Kitty", is a boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He loves other cats and hopes every new feline he meets will be a future playmate. Chase is his favorite game, and when no one joins in, he simply entertains himself—darting through the house with joyful abandon. He does best with females or confident males who can match his enthusiasm and just needs a slow introduction to show everyone he means no harm—only friendship.

When it comes to humans, Thomas’s affection shines even brighter. He’s a deeply social soul who wants to be part of everything you do—supervising laundry, offering “help” in the kitchen, or just making sure you never have to go to the bathroom alone. He’ll jump into your arms for a quick hug, climb onto your back or shoulders to see the world from a new view, and end the day curled beside you, purring softly as he drifts to sleep.

He’s an athlete, a clown, a companion, and above all, a cat with so much love to give. Thomas has been waiting in rescue since October 2024, and we can’t understand why. Maybe he’s been overlooked because he’s not the fluffiest or the flashiest—but what he lacks in fancy fur, he makes up for tenfold in heart.

Thomas is ready to find the person who will see him for the incredible soul he is—the one who will laugh at his antics, love his quirks, and give him the forever home he’s been waiting for. Because of his playful, energetic nature, Thomas would thrive in a quiet, cat-savvy, adult-only home that appreciates his athleticism and quirky charm. Could you be the one he’s been hoping for?

--
Thomas has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. Linus is neutered and microchipped as part of the adoption fee.

All cats have had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer and treated for fleas and ear mites if needed. If you are interested in meeting Thomas, please go to our website and fill out a cat application.

https://www.therescuepack.org/cat-adoption-application

If interested in one of our animals, please fill out an application on our website. The application will then be reviewed by our applications team and passed on to the foster of the animal that was applied for. The foster will then review the application and, if deemed a good fit, will initiate a phone call with the applicant. If, after the phone call, both applicant and foster feel it is a good fit, a meeting with the animal will be scheduled. Once the meeting happens, and the approval from both foster and applicant are given to move forward - our adoptions team will send an electronic payment link to the adopter. Once payment has been received, our adoption contract will be sent along with vet records. The foster and the adopter will agree on an official adoption date - and the animal will now live happily ever after! If an applied for animal is no longer available, our team will assist in trying to find another good fit! If an application is not a good fit, the applicant will also be notified.
