Thelma @ The Cat's Brew's Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Who likes those "big girls"...yeah me too! Thelma is short and well...round. She really isn't overweight just thick, probably mostly her thick fur, with a soft round face! We just think she is adorable. She has a voice that doesn't really match her....kind of an "old lady smokers meow" if that sort of explains it but once she is comfortable she is as soft and sweet as she could be.

Thelma was recently surrendered to our shelter with her sister Louise. We were told they were littermates, adopted as kittens. They lived for almost eight years with the same man who loved and took good care of them, when he passed away a family member took them until they could find a rental that allowed cats, or until placement could be found. Both Ladies came to us understandably terrified. They hid from us, hissed at us, and really did not seem to want anything to do with us, but we tried anyway. This is not our "first rodeo" as they say with scared surrendered kitties. Patience is key. They just need enough reminders that is okay to love and be loved again, that it is okay to trust again, and we have to provide daily reminders that they are safe. Both Thelma and Louise are smart Ladies, they very quickly started to show us little by little that they understood. They seek attention, they LOVE attention, both are letting us see their personalities more each day. Louise is very sweet and seems calm and kind once she is comfortable. Thelma is equally as sweet but just has a touch more pep in her step or just a little touch spice! This cat is actually hilarious at times. Sometimes she pouts, sometimes she purrs so loudly it sounds like a motor running, and sometimes she just looks up at us with such love in her eyes it just melts our hearts completely.

Thelma would appreciate a soft and gentle place to land and a person or people that want to help her feel comfortable again in her world after so much loss and transition in her life.

All of our kitties have s/n completed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. If you'd like to meet any of our great cats/kittens please submit an online adoption application at littleorphans.org. Please give our Adoption Team time to process all the info. The more complete your application is, determines how quickly we are able to process your application. Please try to give your vets office (give prior authorization to release information to us), landlord, and references a heads up to expect our call.
