Thelma's Story

Thelma was brought to the shelter after her heartbroken owner had to be moved into a nursing home and could no longer keep her. She is about 6 years old and this poor girl has been having a hard time adjusting to the shelter. Thelma is so confused being here that she is having a hard time coming out of her shell for us. She is in desperate need of a calm and quiet home so she can settle in and warm up to her new family. Thelma was living as an only pet before so she may be happiest as a solo project; however, she would probably do okay with other animals and children, just as long as they are calmer and know to give her space when she needs it. Thelma is hoping a family find her and takes her home soon!
