Meet Tessa! <br/><br/>Tessa is a young little lady at just 1 year old.<br/><br/>Her first year of life was a story she probably wants to forget and never look back on.<br/><br/>Sweet Tessa had been left behind and abandoned with her kittens, at the home in which they lived. No food or water for so long that her kittens all died from starvation. Tessa was found severely underweight herself and the only four legged survivor to make it out of that home. <br/><br/>Despite the life that got her to us here today, she remains so loving and seeking affection. It is so hard to believe someone could just leave her behind in the conditions in which she was found. <br/><br/>We are glad she is here with us now! On to a brand new life that will give her all the love and kitty food she pleases! <br/><br/>She does need to gain back about 2# to be at a healthy adult weight. We suggeset feeing her kitten food, until she gains back the weight she needs to. Then switch her to an adult food. <br/><br/>Tessa is good with kids and other cats. We are unsure if she has ever been around dogs before, so proper introductions are needed if any are in her new home.<br/><br/>Transferred in from Gary Animal Control, who doesn't have a shelter and relies on Rescue/Shelter Pulls for placement of animals that come to them. We had space to give this kitty another chance at a good life, after losing the home she previously knew. <br/><br/> <br/><br/>Spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention.
