Meet Tawiliger!
Little adventurer, big feelings, and a whole lot of potential!

Location: Calgary, Alberta
Breed: Domestic Shorthair
Sex: Male
Date of Birth: August 3, 2026
Health: Neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and tattooed
Adoption Fee: $200

Meet Tawiliger, a handsome little fellow who’s still figuring out this whole living-with-humans business!

After spending the first six weeks of his life on the streets, Tawiliger is discovering that life indoors comes with some pretty wonderful perks. Regular meals, warm beds, endless toys, and a safe place to sleep? Not a bad upgrade for a little guy who’s had to learn about the world the hard way!

Tawiliger may be a shy little soul, but underneath all that caution is a playful kitten with energy to spare!

This little guy is still very nervous around people, whether they’re men or women. He’s not quite convinced that humans are his best friends just yet, and that’s okay! Trust takes time, especially when your first experiences in the world didn’t involve cozy couches and gentle cuddles.

But while he’s cautious around people, Tawiliger still has plenty of kitten curiosity and enthusiasm for playtime. He enjoys toys, has lots of energy, and is learning that being a kitten can actually be a whole lot of fun.

Tawiliger is still working on his litter box manners and is making great progress for his age. He’ll do best starting out in a smaller, quiet space where he can feel secure while he gets used to his new surroundings.

He hasn’t had experience with children, dogs, or other household cats yet, so any introductions will need to be slow and carefully managed. A calm, patient home that understands shy or undersocialized kittens would be a wonderful fit.

What Tawiliger is looking for:

Someone with a little patience, a gentle heart, and an appreciation for the small victories.

Maybe the first victory is playing with a toy while you’re in the room. Maybe it’s choosing to come a little closer. And maybe, one day, it’s realizing that the human sitting beside him is actually his favorite person.

Tawiliger isn’t looking for someone to rush him into being a cuddly lap cat. He’s looking for someone who will let him become the best version of himself, at his own pace.

His story started with six weeks on the streets, but there’s a whole lifetime of love, security, and adventure waiting for him.

Could you be the person who shows Tawiliger that the world can be a safe and wonderful place?

Apply to adopt Tawiliger through Rescue Friends Animal Foundation.
