Tater's Story

Handsome Tater has gathered so many experiences in his short six years. Adopted as a kitten to be a loving companion to a young woman, he spent the first years of his life being adored and pampered. Unfortunately, the young women found herself in the midst of domestic violence and needed to make a quick escape. Tater had to remain behind, then ended up evicted from his home after the remaining residents moved out. For several years, Tater relied on the kindness of neighbors who provided food and water for the abandoned and feral cats in the area. Repeated attempts to get him into a rescue had failed until the timing was in his favor and Desert Paws had an opening.
Tater has spent the last few weeks readjusting to indoor life. His insecurities are slowly melting away and he is spending more time in squishy beds enjoying easy access to food & water. He has been OK around other cats, as long as they don't impede on his space.

Tater is neutered, FVRCP vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV.

!!! Desert Paws Rescue will determine the best home for each cat or kitten based on the application and interview process. After review of the adoption consultation form and the completion of the interview with a Desert Paws representative, Desert Paws Rescue may recommend a different cat or kitten that is more suitable to your household.
