Tanya's Story

Tanya is a beautiful almost 2-year-old girl who originally lived as a stray on a citizens property for many months before coming to the shelter.

Still extremely nervous with people and handling, Tanya has not yet adjusted to shelter life and prefers to keep her distance while observing the world from a safe place. She was originally brought in by trap after being cared for outdoors and remains much more comfortable with space, quiet, and minimal interaction.

At this time, Tanya would likely do best in a barn, shop, or outdoor working-cat setting, though a very patient home willing to give her significant time to fully decompress may also be considered.

Tanya has been spayed, given dewormed, vaccinated, tested and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting her, please go to the county website and fill out the preadoption application and send in.

Apply to adopt here:
https://orangecountyva.gov/159/Pet-Adoption-Foster-Care-Information
