Tang's Story
Considering adopting? The first step is to complete our online Adoption Application at http://forgetmenotshelter.org/application

Please do not call the shelter; do the application first.

Introducing our Beach (born 5/10/26) and Aquarium (born 6/1/26) kittens, former members of a feral colony on which we did Trap-Neuter-Return. These adorable little ones were friendly enough to transfer into the adoption program!

The kittens in these groups are:

BEACH GROUP (these two were a few weeks older at intake so are still pretty shy around strangers - and cameras - but for people they know, they are purr-monsters):

CRAB - female black/white shorthair

SEASHELL - female tabico (tabby-calico) shorthair

AQUARIUM GROUP (very friendly and outgoing):

DAMSEL - female black shorthair

CARDINAL - male brown/black tabby shorthair

DOTTYBACK - female grey tabby/white shorthair

CLOWN - male grey/white shorthair

GOBY - male black mediumhair

TANG - female black/white shorthair

The Aquarium group should integrate quickly into pretty much any sort of family; our Beach pair would likely prefer homes without boisterous toddlers or in-your-face dogs. All, of course, are great with other cats.

We'd love to see all kittens go to homes that have another young, playful kitten, or to send 2 of them out as a pair (which gives you a great pair discount rate), but we do not require pair adoptions. If you prefer to adopt just one, and you don't have a similarly aged kitten at home already, please read our information on Single Kitten Syndrome. Then, when you apply for a single kitten, please let us know in the "Comments" field how you plan to deal with the "kitten crazies."

All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee is a suggested minimum of $85 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
