Tami's Story

On a cold winter day in January 2024, in the middle of a snowstorm, a kind-hearted soul spotted Tami and refused to walk past. Thanks to that one compassionate human, this now four-year-old sweetheart was brought in from the cold and taken to the humane society for safety. It was the first step toward the life she deserves — but the journey isn't over yet.

Tami has spent over two years in an overcrowded shelter where too many cats and too few adopters have meant that this gem of a girl keeps getting passed by. It's hard to understand why, because anyone who has spent five minutes with Tami knows she is something truly special. Her sweet, gentle demeanor has made her an absolute favorite among shelter staff — the kind of cat that makes everyone stop and say this one needs a home.

Tami is a simple girl with simple pleasures — a good cat nap, a cozy nook to tuck herself into, and a tasty treat here and there. But what she loves most of all is people. She craves human attention and affection and will give every bit of it right back to whoever is lucky enough to call her theirs. She does wonderfully with other cats too but make no mistake — what Tami truly longs for is a family to devote herself to.

She's heading to rescue now, ready to find exactly that.

Tami would do best in:
- A quiet, calm home with older children or adults only
- A home as the only cat or with other friendly feline companions
- A warm, cozy space where she can nap, snuggle, and soak up all the love she's been missing

Tami survived a snowstorm, charmed an entire shelter staff, and has waited patiently for her turn. She is ready to give someone her whole heart. Will you be the warm home she's been waiting for?

--
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter and microchipping for all animals. All cats are tested for FeLV/FIV at six months of age. If interested in one of our animals, please fill out an application on our website. The application will then be reviewed by our applications team and passed on to the foster of the animal that was applied for. The foster will then review the application and, if deemed a good fit, will initiate a phone call with the applicant. If, after the phone call, both applicant and foster feel it is a good fit, a meeting with the animal will be scheduled. Once the meeting happens, and the approval from both foster and applicant are given to move forward - our adoptions team will send an electronic payment link to the adopter. Once payment has been received, our adoption contract will be sent along with vet records. The foster and the adopter will agree on an official adoption date - and the animal will now live happily ever after! If an applied for animal is no longer available, our team will assist in trying to find another good fit! If an application is not a good fit, the applicant will also be notified.
