Meet Tamarind – The Zesty Little Adventurer! This handsome, curious boy has a spark for life that’s simply irresistible. He’s always the first to explore something new—whether it’s a toy, a cozy blanket fort, or a new friend. Tamarind is playful, social, and full of personality. He loves interactive toys, a good wrestling match with a feline buddy, and zipping around the room showing off his kitten zoomies. But when the fun winds down, he’s just as happy to curl up nearby for a nap. He gets along well with other cats and would thrive in a home with a friendly feline companion to keep him company. He adores his foster friends - Butterfinger & Reese's! With his mix of confidence, sweetness, and curiosity, Tamarind is the perfect balance of spirited and snuggly. If you’re looking for a kitten who’s full of life, love, and endless entertainment, Tamarind is ready to bring his zest into your home! Tamarind is currently in a foster home. Animal House of South East Michigan, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment. Our adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten $195 for a pair of cats or kittens Please note that we do not do same day adoptions and all adoption fees are non-refundable. AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We are also flexible if more time is needed to determine if its the right fit. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
