Tamarack DSH Dilute Tortoiseshell Female Approx age 2 years Tamarack had kittens last fall in the backyard of some kind individuals on the West Side of Grand Rapids. The people cared for her and her kittens and found the kittens homes but couldn't find anyone to take mama. They reached out to us to see if we could help. We took her in, got her vet care completed and now she is ready for HER home! She is friendly and playful. She loves her wet food and head scritches. We think she'd do ok with dogs with slow introductions as she has been in foster with a large dog. She seems to not mind other cats but, again, slow introductions will be important! Location: Happy Cat Cafe (happycatgr.com) Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and dewormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption. ~We do not adopt to homes with animals who are not spayed or neutered unless there is a valid reason such as vet recommendation. ~We do check references including landlord if you rent and your vet both past and present. ~We do not adopt to homes that plan on declawing the cat we have adopted out to you or that plan on letting a cat outside (unless on a leash and harness under owner's continued observation). ~If we see something on your application that we are concerned about, we will always try and have a conversation with you to find out the why. We understand you might have declawed a cat in the past or had to rehome an animal. It can happen to anyone. We like to dig deeper and won't deny someone just based on surface information.
