He's confident, curious, and has never met another cat he didn't immediately want to be friends with.<br/><br/>On a cool summer morning in the middle of June, Sylvester was found crying as loudly as he could behind a row of garbage cans, hidden in a corner full of spider webs, leaves, and fleas. His rescuer waited for hours, hoping his mother would come back, but she never did. At only about five weeks old, he was dehydrated, undersized for his age, and all alone. He received fluids, a warm flea bath, good food, and lots of love—and he's been spoiled ever since, exactly as he deserves.<br/><br/>From the moment he settled into foster care, Sylvester's playful personality exploded. He absolutely adores other cats, especially his foster sister, Evie. The two spend their days chasing each other, wrestling, playing hide-and-seek, and then grooming one another when playtime is over. We would love to see Sylvester adopted into a home with another playful cat who will enjoy his energy and companionship.<br/><br/>His favorite toy is his electronic feather wand, and he can spend ages running, jumping, climbing, and launching himself after it. He also has a soft, squishy eagle toy that he proudly wrestles every night before bedtime.<br/><br/>When the day winds down, Sylvester has a softer side. Before bed, he loves joining his foster parents for one last cuddle. He wraps himself in a soft blanket, kneads it with his little paws, and suckles while he falls asleep—a comforting habit that's common in kittens separated from their mothers too early.<br/><br/>Sylvester is growing into a wonderful little gentleman. He has excellent litter box habits, eats neatly, allows his nails to be trimmed, happily lets you clean his paws and face, and settles quietly in his kennel at night without making a sound. He loves chunky wet food mixed with kitten kibble and is well past the clumsy baby kitten stage.<br/><br/>If you're looking for a kitten who will keep you laughing, fill your home with energy, and shower both people and other cats with affection, Sylvester is your boy.<br/>And of course if you would like a bonded pair, Evie would be a purrfect match!<br/><br/>The first step in our adoption process is the application which can be found on our website lapcats.org.<br/><br/>All of our cats have tested negative for FELV and are vaccinated. If they have been rescued as kittens under 4 months, they will not have a rabies vaccine. They have not only been spayed or neutered but have also been treated for worms, fleas, and have been micro chipped. <br/><br/>We will register their microchip for you, provide you with a free exam visit to a participating Sacramento veterinarian, and a goodie bag! We do not do out of state adoptions for the safety of our cats.
