Sylvester Turkish Van & Domestic Long Hair Mix Bethel, CT

Meet Sylvester, a stunning two-year-old Turkish Van with a luxurious and long tuxedo coat and bright green eyes. He was previously owned by a family who kept him outside most of his life and because of this, he was very matted and infested with fleas and ticks. Sylvester was a favorite in the neighborhood and would visit everyone for food, treats, and pets. After working with Bethel Animal Control, the family agreed to relinquish ownership to us and now we're hoping to find him a loving home that will treasure him for the amazing cat that he is!

Sylvester is very friendly and the sweetest angel! He loves being with his people and will follow you around wherever you go. He's a curious guy who enjoys bird-watching from the window or screen door. He's also quite the talker and will make chirping sounds on occasion, otherwise, he is very quiet and tranquil. Sylvester enjoys getting scratches behind his ears, treats, and wet food - he's a big foodie! While he likes pets, he does appear to have some body sensitivity and things just have to be on his terms. He's good with everyone he meets, including other cats, dogs, and older kids, however, he doesn't tend to be very playful.
