Swiss Miss's Story

Hi, my name is Swiss Miss and I'm about 4 years old! I came to the shelter as a stray, but I definitely lived in a home before that. The thing is, being in the shelter is really scary! There are all kinds of sounds and smells that I'm just not used to. So I spend most of my time in my hidey bed, hoping someone will come find me to give me some love. The folks at the shelter are really nice, and they always make sure I get my belly rubs and butt scratches, and in return I make muffins to show them how much I appreciate their attention. I don't mind sharing my space with other kitties so I would do great in a quiet home with another cat. I'm hoping that there is a special person out there who will take a chance on me and let me shower them with all the love I have to give. Will that be with you?! Apply to meet me! My adoption fee has been waived in the hopes of finding me a home soon! We do not have open hours for public viewing of our adoptable animals. We are by appointment only. Marshfield Area Pet Shelter's Adoption Policy

Adoption Policy: Adopter must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Online applications are preferred. Adoption coordinator will contact applicants within 2-3 business days. This may vary depending on the number of animals in our care. Online app: www.marshfieldpetshelter.org/adoption-application Adoption Fees: Puppies < 5 months = $275.00 Adult dogs > 5 months = $225.00 Senior dogs > 7 years = $150.00 Kittens < 5 months = $125.00 Adult cats > 5 months = $100.00 Senior cats > 7 years = $50.00 Working Cats = $0 (donations are always welcome and appreciated) Adoption Fee includes: A general physical examination and behavioral evaluation Canine/feline distemper combination vaccination Bordetella (canines only). If old enough, a rabies vaccination. Deworming medication Flea/tick treatment (if needed) Canine heartworm test (if age appropriate). Feline leukemia (FeLV) test available upon request. Spay/neuter surgery Microchip w/registration Certificate for a free wellness examination with participating veterinarians
