Sweets's Story

Meet Sweets, a beautiful 3-year-old female tabby with a gentle heart and an affectionate spirit. True to her name, Sweets is all about love—she adores kneading soft blankets (and laps!) and is always on the lookout for a pair of legs to rub up against. Outgoing and friendly, she enjoys being part of the action and will happily greet you with soft purrs and sweet head bumps, and lots of Biscuits! Sweets is also a special girl with just one eye, which only adds to her unique charm and resilience.

Sweets is wonderful with other cats and would make a lovely addition to a multi-cat home. She’s a lap-loving girl who enjoys curling up for cozy cuddle sessions, but she also has a playful side and delights in batting around her favorite toys. Despite her special needs, including having one eye and chronic rhinitis, Sweets continues to thrive and live a happy, loving life. Her balanced personality makes her a perfect mix of calm companion and fun-loving friend.

Sweets’ chronic rhinitis will require lifelong medical management, and our team is happy to discuss what that looks like for her future family. She may also benefit from a home that understands her visual difference and helps her feel safe and comfortable. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Her adoption fee is $65. Cascades Humane Society's Adoption Policy
Adoption Process Please fill out an adoption application. It is linked here on our Petfinder profile or you can find it listed on our website. This application saves you time when you arrive, it does not hold an animal for you. Please feel free to not wait for us to call you regarding your application, as we have limited staff and we get extremely busy. We strongly encourage you to come directly to CHS (or one of the local pet stores that houses cats for us) to meet the animal you are interested in. We are a first-come-first-serve facility. The adoption process will take approximately 30 minutes. In addition to a new best friend, you will receive: - A pet that has already been spayed/neutered and is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Your pet will have been heartworm tested (for dogs) and feline leukemia and FIV tested (for cats). - Cats and dogs will be microchipped. - A pet who has been de-wormed and treated for fleas and ticks - A free wellness check-up at participating veterinarians, to be used within 30 business days of the adoption -One month of free pet insurance -A free dog collar -A free ID tag that will help reunite you with your new pet, if it ever becomes lost -What Cascades Humane Society needs from you: Bring in your current pets’ vaccine records or your veterinarian’s phone number to verify your pets are up-to-date on vaccines. Verify that your landlord allows you to have pets at the rented property. Placing a Hold on an Animal If, after you have met a pet, you are unsure if you would like to adopt them or not, you may place a hold on that pet. In order to hold an animal, CHS will collect a $25.00 deposit that will hold an animal until 5:30 p.m. the next business day. If it is a Saturday, the hold will be until the following Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. When a deposit is used to hold an animal, the hold fee will be deducted from the adoption fee. The deposit is non-refundable nor is it transferable to other animals.
