Swan (Tundra's Foster Kitten) (Spayed) (Photos June-July 2026)

Swan is a beautiful female Tortoiseshell kitten who was brought to the HSOV on April 28th 2026 along with her two sisters (Caribou and Chinchilla) for a very sad reason. Their mother had given birth to these babies on April 25th and was tragically hit/killed in a traffic accident near Hillcrest Drive in Marietta Ohio when the kittens were just 3-days old.<br/><br/>As luck would have it, their deceased mother's sister (Tundra) had been brought to the safety of our shelter on April 24th with her five biological kittens ... So the tiny orphans were brought to HSOV and placed with their "Aunt Tundra" .. And Tundra accepted them as her own. Sadly little Caribou did not survive and passed away on May 19th.<br/><br/>Swan and Chinchilla survived and were raised to become healthy, happy youngsters by Tundra with their five 'cousins' (Arctic Wolf, Hare, Sea Lion, Walrus and Weasel).<br/><br/>Swan has a black/dark brown short-haired coat with orange/cream markings, a long tail, and an adorable face with golden eyes, an orange patch on the top left-hand side of her head, a 'full cream chin', and long white whiskers.<br/><br/>At first glance Swan and Chinchilla appear to be identical twins but, when you look closely, you'll notice subtle differences in appearances. Chinchilla has a 'half cream chin' and the orange patch on the top of her head is on the right side. <br/><br/>Swan was given vaccinations on July 1st 2026. She was given booster vaccines on August 1st 2026.<br/><br/>Swan is currently sharing a double-wide cage with her sister Chinchilla and two of their cousins (Sea Lion and Walrus). These 'quadruplets' are very compatible and dearly love each other.<br/><br/>Swan will be spayed (tentatively on August 3rd 2026) and has an approved adoption application, so she will have a home waiting for her after she is spayed.<br/><br/>Naturally we'd love to see her sister Swan adopted with one of her cousins.<br/><br/>Swan was spayed on August 3, 2026 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 3.9 lbs that day.<br/><br/>Swan was adopted on August 5, 2026.
