Sushi's Story
How this pet arrived:Sushi was brought in by his previous owner on May 5, 2026.Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Sushi, a shy little roll with a tender center. At first, Sushi may act like he's been seated at the "no thank you" table of life, preferring to observe from a safe distance while he decides whether you are friend, food-bringer, or suspiciously tall furniture. But give him a little time, patience, and a respectful approach, and this sweet boy starts to show his softer side-after just a few days to decompress, he's already been showing us how sweet and affectionate he can be. Sushi has lived with another cat before, though he needed several days to get used to his feline roommate, so slow introductions are a must. He'll do best starting out in a quiet, cozy safe space where he can decompress and settle in at his own pace. No forced handling for this cautious little guy - the way to his heart is through yummy treats, gentle patience, and wand toys that let him build confidence while keeping a comfortable distance. Because Sushi is sensitive and needs people who can respect his boundaries, he'll do best in a home without children under 8. If you're willing to let Sushi set the pace, you may just find yourself rewarded with the love of a cat who chose you carefully - and that makes it extra special. When coming to adopt Sushi, please bring a secure, hard-sided plastic carrier so this precious little entrée can have a safe ride home.
