Susan's Story
Meet Susan!

Susan (born end of September) was trapped as a young kitten and came into our rescue feral. She has made great progress in her foster home and is now looking for a loving, patient home where she can continue to grow and build confidence.

Susan is still a bit shy, but she’s a gentle, sweet girl who purrs almost immediately when picked up. She has a soft personality and a loving heart that shines once she feels safe. She enjoys the company of other cats.

Susan is FIV+. FIV is a manageable condition that affects a cat’s immune system—but it does not define their quality of life. Many FIV+ cats live long, happy, healthy lives just like any other cat.

FIV is most commonly spread through deep bite wounds, not through sharing food bowls, litter boxes, or grooming. Because of this, FIV+ cats can often live safely with other friendly, non-aggressive cats.

Also she is only 3 & 1/2 months old, she could have antibodies from her mom and should be retested after 6 months of age. There is a chance she could be negative!

With regular vet care, a low-stress indoor lifestyle, and lots of love, FIV+ cats make wonderful companions. They are not sick, not fragile, and not a risk to humans or other pets—they simply need a forever home willing to give them the same care and affection every cat deserves.

If interested in adopting Susan,

Email us at halfwayhomecatrescueinc@gmail.com

Or you can apply at

https://tinyurl.com/HHCRIncADOPTIONapplication
