Summer A061271

Meet Summer! A Devoted Mother is Ready for Her Own Second Chance!

Summer came to the shelter through no fault of her own after her previous owner became very ill and could no longer care for her. But Summer didn’t arrive alone—she brought an incredible story of family and survival with her. Summer and her sister, Winter, were both nursing mothers when they arrived. Together, these two devoted sister-cats co-raised their seven kittens, taking turns nursing, cuddling, and fiercely loving their babies. Now that she has finished raising her little ones, it is finally Summer’s turn to be pampered and loved!

Through all the massive changes in her life, Summer’s sweet, affectionate nature has never wavered. She absolutely adores attention! When you visit her, she will eagerly soak up every single bit of love, head scratches, and pets you are willing to give. She has a huge heart and so much love to offer.

Her Perfect Match Right now, the shelter environment is a lot for Summer, and her cage serves as her safe space. Patience is Key: Summer is currently not comfortable being picked up or carried. She needs an understanding adopter who recognizes that earning a cat's trust is a beautiful journey that takes time. Respecting Boundaries: She will thrive with someone who will let her move at her own pace, giving her the freedom to explore her new home when she is ready.

Celebrating Milestones: Her future family should be eager to celebrate the little victories—like the first time she steps out of her safe room or chooses to curl up next to you on the couch. With a little patience and a lot of kindness, Summer will learn that the big world outside her cage is just as safe and comforting as her cozy sanctuary. Could you be the patient soul Summer is searching for? If you have room in your heart for two, please ask to meet her sister, Winter (A061272), as well!

Adoption Options: Can be adopted as a solo kitty or bonded with her sister, Winter (ID: A061272).
