Stripes's Story

Stripes is not a happy camper And we don’t blame him. This is his second round in a shelter due to no fault of his own. Stripes is not a fan of the hustle and bustle and prefers quiet and coziness. He is said to be a good lap cat, sweet and friendly at home. we think he could do well with other respectful cats with a slow introduction, and no small children. The crabbiest cats go home to be the sweetest with a little time, love and patience. Could you give stripes the chance? #crabbycats #adoptdontshop #shelterlife #sheltercatsneedhomes #cats

Northeast Ohio SPCA's Adoption Policy

We are unable to put our shelter pets on hold. For this reason, we recommend in-state adoptions as we cannot guarantee that the animal will still be available if traveling from another state. All adoption applications need to be completed at our facility. To apply, you must have an occupation and reside in a house, condo, apt, etc. that allows pets. Included in the two-page application is a request for two references. Adoption applications are reviewed the day they are submitted and are typically approved the same day. Adopters are able to take their new pet home immediately after the application has been approved. If the potential adopter already has a dog(s) at home, we recommend a meet & greet for all of our shelter pets.
