Strawberry (Cerebellar Hypoplasia)'s Story

Strawberry is a sweet, adorable dilute calico with a heart as big as her charm. She has severe Cerebellar Hypoplasia, which means she can stand and walk for short periods but needs a little help getting into a standing position. She does best with raised food bowls and prefers a taller water fountain. Once she’s upright, she can shuffle her way to her food and water. For litter box use, Strawberry simply needs to be placed in the box two to three times a day.

Strawberry also has some unique dietary needs. Her lack of coordination affects her ability to eat, so she requires a small kibble. Currently, she is doing well on Purina kitten food. She’s offered wet food twice a day. Mousse style is the easiest for her to eat. She is definitely a seafood girl. Her need for high-calorie food may change in the future, but it’s difficult to predict.

At first glance, caring for Strawberry may sound like a lot—but in reality, the assistance she needs a few times a day is a small ask compared to everything she gives in return.

Strawberry is pure love. She makes biscuits with all four feet, adores snuggling close to her people, and melts hearts with the most perfect little blep when you scratch her back. Her sweetness—and her cuteness—are truly legendary.

Please consider opening your heart and home to Strawberry. Even better, give her the greatest gift of all by adopting her alongside her sister, Raspberry.

Est. DOB May 2025, she is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Adopters will also receive an adoption package of goodies valued at around $100 if you visit one or both of our pet store partners after adoption (Tabby & Jacks and/or All Paws).

Misfit Felines Inc is a foster based 501(c)3 rescue. All of our cats are in foster homes. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application.

Apply: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/MFR/Cat
