Sticky's Story

Hello, my name is Sticky! I am a 7-month-old, female, orange tabby and white kitten. I was rescued from life outside in Jackson Ward along with my sister, Murky. I was named after an adorable street urchin from the Pathologic video game series. When I was rescued, I was half-feral. (I actually have an ear tip because I was TNR'ed before my rescue!) I have made HUGE progress since becoming an indoor girlie - now, I’m super playful and have learned to love sitting in laps – but it still takes me some time to relax around new people. Because of that, I’m not available at a PetSmart like other Purring Hearts cats, but I’d love to meet you at my foster’s house. I get along great with other cats. As I’ve discovered my bubbly nature, I’ve started giving "play" bites, so I don’t mix well with young kids. (My foster can talk to you about how to discourage this behavior.) I’ve never met dogs before. I MUST be adopted with my sister, Murky – I’m the more confident of our quirky duo, and she needs me to set a good example! I am spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, tested for FIV/FeLV (negative/negative), and have my microchip. If you are interested in making us a part of your family, please click on the following link to fill out an Adoption Application http://www.purringheartsva.org and a volunteer will reach out to you within 72 hours. We hope to hear from our forever family soon!
