STELLA*'s Story

Meet Stella, the senior black and white tuxedo gal. Stella is a little shy but warms up with patient, cat savvy adopters. Stella would thrive as the only at in the home as she would hiss and growl at cats that walked by the window in her previous home. She was indoors only in her home and would like to continue that trend in her next spot. There was a cat-savvy dog that would visit once in a while that Stella coexisted with. A home with a mellow dog may be a fit provided there is a slow, thoughtful introduction. Adopters for Stella should keep in mind that as an older cat, she may need more vet visits to ensure that she is staying in tip top shape. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
